ALLOW ME TO Re- INTRODUCE MYSELF

So, I’ve been running this blog, the Back to Her Facebook page, and Facebook group with the same name for nearly a year now. Each one of these platforms was designed to help me gain visibility for myself and my brand so that I could get my message in front of my audience, you know, my tribe. Sounds good right? Well, it would be great if I had properly introduced myself a while back, and I’m not talking about what I do or what titles I hold, but who I am and what I’m about.

Okay, here goes; I’m Angela M Mitchell, (I was being fancy by adding my middle initial), and I’m an international best-selling author, a mental health advocate, an international speaker, and a certified master life and personal development coach, (there are a few more titles I could share, but they’re just that, titles). I assist women entrepreneurs who are struggling with emotional overwhelm to identify and acknowledge their struggles, change the narrative, and rewrite their life stories so that they can achieve the success they desire.

I guide them through a process of self-discovery as they incorporate ease, flow, and inner strength into their life by shifting their mindset, and becoming deliberate, not desperate creators of their life's story. Whew, that’s a lot! But that’s only what I do and who I do it for, and while that’s good to know it doesn’t really matter if you don’t know who I am.

Who I Am

So, who am I? Well, first and foremost I am the daughter of The Most High God. I’m also a mother, grandmother, sister, friend, auntie, and every fabulous thing in between. I love to bake specialty cakes and other desserts; I don’t do it much anymore, but I still enjoy it from time to time. I am also a recent college graduate after waiting 30 years to do it!

I am a survivor of child sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, emotional, verbal, and physical abuse, and I’m an advocate for every woman who has been living with and carrying the pain and trauma of that same abuse on their shoulders as they attempt to navigate life. After having lived the majority of my life suffering from depression and anxiety, not even knowing that’s what it was, I decided to ask my primary care doctor for a referral for a mental health evaluation. That’s when I was diagnosed with bipolar 1 disorder along with major depression and general anxiety disorder. I finally had an answer that explained the highs and lows of my moods and I was finally able to do something about it.

For the last two years, I have been on both a spiritual and personal development journey that led me to acknowledge my mental health struggles and gain a better understanding of how they affected my personal and business relationships. I was then able to change the way I thought about myself and my life, and in that process, I changed the narrative of my life story from one of brokenness to one of empowerment and breakthrough.

I took all those negative thoughts and limiting beliefs that I created in my own mind, the ones that caused me to lack confidence, become complacent, and accepting of mediocrity, and shifted them to those of strength and transformation. I changed the way I thought about the mood disorders I was living with, and instead of allowing them to define me and keep me from the greatness of life and its abundance, I took my power back. It was only then that I was able to completely change the trajectory of my life, I was then able to stop holding on to those stories where I was the victim and rewrite myself as the hero in my new story. I could move forward, and that's just what I did.

In my new story, the one where I am the hero, I have reignited the fire of my passion that I had allowed to burn out so long ago. I have rediscovered what my earthly purpose is, and I have committed myself to serve

the people that were assigned to me as a part of my mission for as long as I’m here. I’ve learned that pain and trauma don’t have to define you and that in all of my struggles I was never alone, The Most High was always there with me patiently waiting for me to act and answer the call, that's when I was transformed.

Once I changed my mind, I was able to change my reality. Yea, I know that everyone is saying that and that mindset is the big trending topic right now. But I also know that if I hadn’t changed my entire way of thinking I would never have been able to climb out of the hole I was stuck in. I would never have had the courage to share a part of my life by participating in an anthology along with 19 other amazing women of God. I would never have been able to create a business that not only has helped other women rewrite their life stories and rebuild their lives, businesses, relationships, etc, but that allows me to live purposefully and in abundance.

The End....

So, that’s a little bit about me. Now, what about you? What action do you need to take that will lead you to the next step in life? How will changing your thoughts and rewriting your story help you live in purpose and abundance? What are you waiting for?
